2010

Summer Madness – The Carnival has been suspended until Fall when life settles back down and the kids go back to school…kind of.  If you’ve got a Carnival post, send it in anyway and I’ll compile any that I get in a Summer Maddness issue.  No theme, just your random thoughts.

September - First Day of School – Is it lunch and a movie or hitting the books hard?  Does it come with fanfare or just slide by unnoticed in the buzz of your busy house?

October – Books, Books, Books – From Bob books to Classics.  This month is all about phonics, reading and great literature.

November - Curriculum ReDo – Ooops.  Is that math curriculum bringing your kids to tears?  Was that perfect boxed curriculum a giant waste of money?  Your grand plans to build your own curriculum aren’t quite working?  Let us know what’s giving you second thoughts as we get into the groove.

December – Mid-Year Pull Out – Many of today’s homeschool proponents pulled their kids out of school mid-year some long ago year.  Let’s discuss how it worked for those who’ve walked this path…and also hear from those considering it.

2011

January – Clean Slate or Stay the Path? – Is it time for new years resolutions to change what wasn’t working? Or, are you on track and just need to restate your resolve as you continue.

February – The Doldrums - Oh February.  How I wish that I could send my kids to school for two weeks in February.  They’re bored. I’m bored. We’re all anxious for spring.  Are you in the doldrums?  Do you have a great trick for getting out?  Share your thoughts.

March – Life is Good! - Oh, yes, it is!  But life for homeschoolers can be just that much sweeter.  That much more time cuddled on the couch reading.  That much more time with family in the evenings.  What makes your life so good?
