Contests and Competitions

Colorado Home Educator’s Eclectic Resource – Providing resources and support to Colorado’s diverse homeschool community.

Our CHEERful homeschool family has always enjoyed a challenge to keep us excited and focused on our work.  Contests work wonders on our motivation level.  Our favorites are PBS’s Young Writers and Illustrators NANOWRIMO (National Novel Writing Month).  Hmmmm. Maybe we just like writing contests.   Well, help me change that.  Help me collect cool contests and competitions that help our Colorado homeschool kids stay passionate and excited about their work.   If you know of a great contest for kids, enter it into the comments section below.

    Submission deadline:

The CB Challenge is an opportunity for artists to explore a specific directive within their chosen art form, individually or within a classroom setting. The directive is presented in the form of a lesson plan suitable for use by classroom teachers or individuals. We encourage teachers to use the directive as an extended project, enabling students to develop and refine their ideas over a period of time. This is a great opportunity to show that the best work only comes through hard work and devotion.
