READER REVIEW: I love this curriculum because my kids love it. It covers all the basics when our lives get so busy that some things get put to the wayside. My older two children actually argue over who can use it first, they enjoy it that much.
I have heard that when this origanally came out, it was buggy and boring. They have changed it greatly over the years and it is a wonderful program now, with educational games, videos, study guides and a great overall approach.
It has given a wider perspective to our daily learning and its lessons really stick with my kids. Math and history are both their favorites.
A note to the “bible based” portion: We do not have Christian beliefs. Why would we choose this type of curriculum? It is user friendly enough that it allows my kids to challenge not only our beliefs but that of the program. In the end if an answer is different that what we (the child and I) decide is correct, then I change it and it is counted correct.
This system saves me time, as it grades a great portion of their work for me.
We have used this program in for 3rd and 5th grades. Since we use it in addition to other things we spread each “year” of learning over 2 years. This allows for using it without a stress of getting it done and keeps the price more affordable.
